The solutions do not apply to server 2012. I've tried Googling around but all the hits seem to be Win7 or Win8/8.1. Server restarted fine but now windows update won't run at all returning error 8007045B. A few apps I was able to close but Resource Monitor was hung, an Explorer window was hung and no response to three finger salute.Įventually I had no choice but to hard down so I took a snapshot of the VM and hard downed it. When I came back I found that basically the servers' desktop (ui) was semi-responsive. Decided it might be worth a go for the more comprehensive check.ĭISM quickly reached 20% but then hung there. I have a server 2012 instance that's been running for almost a year now (Hyper-V VM installed from scratch not image) that's more or less been a constant fight to apply patches.
